Victoria Beckham Resurrects Posh Spice to Sing "Stop" For Family-Vacation Karaoke

Hand Victoria Beckham a microphone, and her inner Posh Spice comes out to play. Such was the case when she chose the Spice Girls' hit song "Stop" for a karaoke night with family and friends during a recent yacht vacation. Wearing a very Posh-esque black dress and cropped cardigan, the fashion designer sang the chorus and nailed some choreographed moves as the music video played on the wall behind her. Her husband of 23 years, David Beckham, captured video footage of her nostalgic performance and posted it on Instagram, writing, "Karaoke night with the one & only Posh Spice." The singer commented, "Only for you David!! X" He also recorded a video of his wife later singing Rufus and Chaka Khan's "Ain't Nobody (Loves Me Better)" with the microphone accidentally unplugged.

Beckham's first song choice is actually quite timely. This November marks the 25th anniversary of the Spice Girls' second studio album, "Spiceworld," which dropped in 1997 and features popular tracks like "Spice Up Your Life," "Viva Forever," and "Too Much," in addition to "Stop." Earlier this month, the British girl group teased plans to celebrate the album's upcoming milestone, posting a video of a rotating globe with the phrase "Spiceworld25" on their social media pages and official website. They've yet to reveal any concrete details for the celebration beyond that, but fans are crossing their fingers for a reunion tour or a headlining performance at Glastonbury Festival next summer.

Last year, the Spice Girls commemorated the 25th anniversary of their debut album, "Spice," by releasing a deluxe edition with rare demos and a previously unreleased song titled "Feed Your Love." Perhaps Beckham's karaoke performance of "Stop" is a hint that they have even bigger plans in store for "Spiceworld"'s quarter-century birthday? Hey, a (spice) girl can dream.
