Rejoice, Kit Harington Fans: You'll Be Able to Watch His Gory New Show in the US Soon

The BBC's latest historical drama, Gunpowder, is currently shocking UK audiences with how gory it is. As for US audiences? Well, we're still waiting on a glimpse of star Kit Harington in action as Robert Catesby since it hasn't crossed the pond just yet. Fortunately, HBO is here to feed our Harington addiction.

The network released a statement on Tuesday that the three-part drama will be available to watch in the states by December. The first episode will hit HBO on Dec. 18 at 10 p.m., followed by the second and third installments the next two nights. Once it does premiere, you can expect a lot of graphic scenes from the miniseries. Based on the real 17th century "Gunpowder Plot," the show follows a group of English Catholics led by Robert Catesby (Harington) who attempt to kill the King of England by blowing up Parliament.

In addition to the Game of Thrones star (who is a real-life descendant of Catesby), Gunpowder also features the talents of Peter Mullan, Mark Gatiss, and Liv Tyler. Set your DVRs now!
