The Unexpected Way This Mom Honored Her Late Husband's Wish Is Breathtaking

After losing her husband, this pregnant mom came up with a unique way to show his presence through her maternity shoot — and the final photos are truly stunning.

Deonta had the idea of doing a family photo shoot with his pregnant wife, Nicole Bennett, and their 4-year-old son, Landen, but he tragically died two months before her due date. The pregnant mom decided to still honor her husband's wish while also mourning his loss.

Nicole had her maternity shoot photographer, Sidney Conley, digitally add images of Deonta into the heartfelt portraits. Nicole is hoping that these photos will not only help her grieve but also serve as a reminder to her children of the father they lost.

"I wanted to do something special because he's been there for my son since day one," Nicole told ABC News. "It's memories for my son of his father and for my daughter who will never meet her father, it's memories for her as well."

After taking the photos in February, Sidney said that he got emotional while digitally adding in Deonta's images and that the final product brought him to tears. "Just how I edited [the photos] with him looking down on them, it's showing that he's making sure they're okay," Sidney added.
