Julia Stiles Offers Hilarious Advice to Those Mommy-Shaming Her For This Photo

Julia Stiles gave birth to her son, Strummer Newcomb, just weeks ago and already she's facing the wrath of mommy-shamers on Instagram. It all started when the Save the Last Dance actress shared a photo of herself sporting a front-facing baby carrier. "I haven't worn a back pack since middle school. 🤓 Now I have a front pack. #jujube #tulababycarriers," she wrote. Instantly she was called out for not holding her baby correctly. Julia took to her Instagram to address the mommy-shamers directly and even offered some hilarious advice along the way.

"It was brought to my attention that in the previous photo I am not holding my baby correctly," she wrote. "Wow, I didn't expect that. What was supposed to be a shout out of products I like, suddenly becomes an invitation to comment on my baby, and my ability as a mother. That's the internet for you, the carnivorous plant from "Little Shop of Horrors".

Although Stiles confirmed she doesn't use the carrier as often as the photo might have suggested, she did thank all of the mommy-shamers for their alleged concern. "I was trying to keep much of my son's image private, including, I guess, his little feet. And it was just a photo taken at home, not how I normally carry him around. Thanks for the concern, anyway. Yes, Mothers, always read the safety instructions. But also, Instagrammers: instead of writing snarky comments about a 5 week old, try dancing around your living room to a Clash record. It's way more fun."

Excuse us, we'll just be over here giving Julia a round of applause for her epic response. Lesson learned, don't mess with a momma bear!
