Kelly Clarkson Gets Mom Shamed Because People Have Nothing Better to Do

Apparently it's still the case that nobody has anything better to do on the internet than shame one another, and though Kelly Clarkson may be the latest victim to mom shaming, she likely won't be the last. The singer and mom to 2-year-old River and 1-year-old Remington posted a video of River trying Nutella on toast for the first time to Instagram, and even though the clip is adorable and the little one looks like she's living her best life, the moment was ruined by the comments.

"Yep. Start them out with cancer at an early age," one keyboard warrior wrote under the video. "Giving food like this to a child is 'child abuse,'" claimed another. And the shaming doesn't stop there — users not only went after Clarkson's parenting skills, but her weight: "Make your own @kellyclarkson. Nutella is PACKED with sugars, don't make your kids blow up, too."

Kelly Clarkson is just one of several celebrity moms who have been shamed as a result of sharing personal family moments on social media. Hilary Duff was shamed last year for posting a photo of her and her son, Luca, kissing on the lips, as was Victoria Beckham for a similar photo with Harper, and Chrissy Teigen clapped back at those who questioned Luna's happiness in photos and videos.

One commenter summed up how we feel about Clarkson's choice to let her daughter taste the delights of Nutella pretty well. "I think this is so cute!!! Let her enjoy some Nutella," she wrote. "And to the ASSHOLE who commented about weight, I promise this piece of toast with Nutella on it will not make her 'blow up,' you MORON. And for the 'As a mom . . . ' commenters, AS A MOM YOU SHOULD KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT AND STOP JUDGING OTHER MOMS!!!"
