It turns out Donatella Versace is a big admirer of Kate's. The designer told The Sunday Times in 2014 that Kate "can wear anything because she has a fantastic body."

When Kate loves something, she buys in multiples. We learned this fact from Marvin Krasnow, creative director and CEO of Aquatalia. Kate, who loves Aquatalia Rhumba boots, bought a ton of them. “The exciting thing for me is that like everybody else, she goes into retail stores," Marvin told Canada's National Post. "Not only did she choose our boots, [she] bought four pairs."

Kate is known to alter pieces after buying them, and her 2016 DIY update of an Anita Dongre dress proves it's a habit Kate's not retiring anytime soon.

It's a little-known fact that Kate has designed jewelry. She worked on jewelry with Claudia Bradby during their mutual time at Jigsaw, and one of the necklaces from their collaboration was later released on its own.

Cecile Reinaud of Séraphine, who has designed coats and dresses worn by Kate, spoke about how it's always a surprise when the duchess selects a garment. "We are totally surprised," Cecile told us. "It’s super confidential. Of course, if she does wear it, the traffic to our website goes crazy and we sell out of the item within hours."

There was a lot that was kept quiet about Kate's 2011 Alexander McQueen wedding gown — and that was on purpose. Designer Sarah Burton told The Telegraph she signed a confidentality agreement. "It was so great to actually keep a secret," she said. "Especially in this day and age when everyone talks about everything."

Kate doesn’t have a stylist on her staff, but it’s said that one of her assistants, Natasha Archer, helps with the royal wardrobe and encourages Kate to try some edgier looks.

Kate embraced color from a young age, according to Daniella Helayel, who designed the bright blue Issa dress Kate wore to announce her engagement in 2010. New Zealand-born designer Rebecca Taylor recounted the story of how meaningful it was for Kate to arrive in her native land wearing one of her suits. "Died and gone to heaven. I can't tell you, I'm such a royalist, it's so corny," she told Racked in 2014. "When William was a baby George's age, he came to New Zealand with Diana. Designers know when Kate buys from their lines, because her shipping address is Kensington Palace in London. Cecile Reinaud, owner of Séraphine, told us about when Kate bought her clothes. "I knew [that Kate was a fan of the line] because we had orders going to Kensington Palace," she revealed.

Kate is known to enjoy shopping at the outlet stores at Bicester Village outside of London. That is where she picked up the Missoni coat she’s worn on multiple official engagements.

Designer Amaia Arrieta opened up about what it was like when Kate visited her London shop, Amaia Kids, to buy items for her infant son, Prince George. Amaia recounts Kate as having said, "I've just had a baby and I'm a little lost. Would you be able to help me?"

There are a handful of stores Kate loves to shop in London, including London's Peter Jones department store near Sloane Square.

According to Katherine Hooker, whose designs Kate has sported on a number of occasions, Kate doesn't take free stuff. “She doesn’t take free clothes, and I’ve heard that from other people who sent her things,” Katherine told The Huffington Post in 2013. “She always comes to the shop, which is nice. And we’ve sent her a few things when she didn’t have time to come in.”

Like so many of us, Kate hits up Lululemon for her exercise gear.
