Anya Taylor-Joy Styles Her Cone-Bra Bustier With Extreme Platform Wedges

Anya Taylor-Joy's latest press tour is the fashionable gift that keeps on giving. While promoting her new film "The Menu" on "The Tonight Show" on Nov. 16, the actor showed an edgier side to her style in a straight-off-the-runway look from Schiaparelli's spring 2023 collection.

Her gold satin corset top was a glamorous take on the trend, with classic boned detailing and twisted cone-shaped cups à la Madonna in the '90s. It cinched in at the waist with a thick black belt featuring a gold buckle and several attached charms, including a golden pierced ear. On the bottom, she wore pleated black cigarette pants with metallic buttons up the front.

The true highlight of Taylor-Joy's outfit, however, was her extreme espadrille wedges, which featured a towering platform that curved inward before sloping back out at the sole. They were also accented with a strip of gold over the tips that were designed to mimic toes. We thought Versace's 6-inch platform pumps looked difficult to walk in, but these certainly take the cake. She couldn't resist showing off her eccentric footwear at the start of her late-night interview, describing them as "cuckoo bananas" to host Jimmy Fallon. "Golden toes. I don't know why, but OK," she joked.

With input from stylist Ryan Hastings, the "Queen's Gambit" actor stuck to the metallic theme while choosing her accessories, including a twisted gold bracelet, gold hoop earrings, and several shiny rings. She wore her long platinum hair straight and swiped on dark red lipstick to complete the look.

Taylor-Joy's Schiaparelli ensemble isn't her only memorable press tour look this week. On Nov. 15, she stepped out for a "Drew Barrymore Show" appearance in a Nensi Dojaka babydoll dress and strappy sandals that looked almost invisible as she walked the streets of New York City. And the night prior, she hit up "The Menu" premiere after party in a totally sheer dress that revealed a black bra and underwear underneath.

Take a closer look at her conical bustier and bold platform wedges ahead.
