Miley Cyrus's gold Saint Laurent dress in the "Flowers" music video is being compared to Jennifer Lawrence's Prabal Gurung number from "The Hunger Games" LA premiere in 2012. After viral TikTok videos circulated comparing the two looks (in which fans surmise Cyrus wore the outfit to suggest ex-husband Liam Hemsworth cheated on her with Lawrence), the "No Hard Feelings" star addressed the infidelity rumor on "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen.

While Cyrus dropped plenty of Easter eggs in "Flowers," some people feel the dress connection is a bit far-fetched. When she broke down her life in looks for British Vogue, to coincide with her June 2023 cover story for the magazine, Cyrus described the vintage YSL design from 1991 as "museum quality archival," noting that similar hooded pieces are currently on display at the Gold by Yves Saint Laurent exhibition in Paris. She said that she and stylist Bradley Kenneth settled on the music video costume because "It wasn't saying too much, it spoke for itself, but it also allowed me to speak. It completely captured what the song is about."

While it's certainly true that the Saint Laurent and Prabal Gurung gowns boast similarities — including side cutouts and a metallic sheen — there is no public confirmation of a romantic relationship between Lawrence and Hemsworth. That being said, if you like the look of both dresses and want to pay homage to this viral pop culture moment, we gathered similar looks ahead.
