This Almond Creamer Is a Breakfast Game-Changer

Let me start by saying I'm not vegan or lactose intolerant. I enjoy dairy. I eat cheese, put cream in my coffee, and indulge with ice cream every now and then. However, I've made some plant-based swaps in my diet to cut back ever so slightly on my dairy intake in an effort to reap the benefits of a more plant-centric diet (and to reduce my environmental impact).

That said, because I still have dairy in my diet, my standards for plant-based alternatives are pretty high. If it doesn't taste good, I can't force myself to eat it. But when I found Califia Farms Toasted Coconut Almond Milk, a whole new world opened up, and I stopped buying milk on my grocery runs. It's that good.

From there, I started exploring more almond milk options. Enter Better Half Creamer — the decadent addition that has ousted my organic half-and-half and has become an absolute game changer for my morning tea.

Given my obsession with tea, I started experimenting with tea lattes (how can you not want to make a latte out of a Jasmine Crème Brulée green tea, amirite?). I make a more concentrated brew of my tea with an extra scoop of the loose leaves and a little more time steeping and then add the original flavor of unsweetened Better Half — and it's unreal. Whether you're a dairy-lover or a vegan, I'd highly recommend checking this out, especially if you're a tea drinker; I feel like this blend is particularly perfect for a hot or iced tea latte.

Now for the details: it's a combination of almond milk and coconut cream. It's "soy-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, carrageenan-free, non-GMO, kosher, vegan" — so basically allergen-free save tree nuts (obviously). And it's only 15 calories per each two tablespoon serving, with 0 carbohydrates, 0 grams of protein, 0 sugars, and only 1.5 grams of fat. Crazy, right? But it tastes so decadent! Now you know what to do . . . run to your grocery store!
