The 2021 US Gymnastics Championships took place this past weekend, and aside from amazing highlights like Simone Biles winning her seventh national all-around title, Sunisa Lee getting second overall and gold on bars, and Chellsie Memmel competing in her first Championships since 2011, there were great routines you might have missed. One of those moments came when 16-year-old Sydney Barros showcased a floor performance set to "Downtown" by the duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, seen above. She finished 22nd on floor, and this particular routine, from night two of competition, received a score of 12.800.

Barros is one of Biles's teammates out of World Champions Centre in Spring, TX. We love how she just melts into the choreography, then kicks into power mode to pull off soaring skills such as an opening double layout and a mid-routine double Arabian (a half turn into two front flips). You can tell Barros thoroughly enjoys dancing along to the music — snaps, claps, footwork, and all — and the energy she exudes is on point (it's the same energy she brought on the junior level not too long ago)! We definitely think the "Downtown" artists would approve.
