It's a fact of life: Oreos make everything better. And while it's hard to believe chocolate-covered strawberries could get any more decadent, when they have a Double Stuf Oreo center, they're so good it doesn't even make sense. So we combined our love of chocolate-covered strawberries and Oreo truffles, and the results are mind-blowingly good — and that is not an exaggeration. True story: after one of our editors took a bite, she said, "These are so good I just got dizzy." Do yourself (and everyone around you) a favor by making these ASAP. It'll become your favorite thing to do with a fresh batch of strawberries.

INGREDIENTS

    • 1 package Double Stuf Oreos
    • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
    • 8 ounces chocolate, for melting
    • 1 pound fresh strawberries

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. In a food processor, chop up Oreos, including the frosting, until a fine crumb is reached. If you don't have a food processor, crush them in a plastic bag using a rolling pin. Save 1/4 cup of crushed Oreos for garnish.

    2. In a large bowl, mix together remaining Oreos with cream cheese. It might be easier with your hands. Once combined, roll the dough into 1/2-inch balls and place on a piece of wax paper. Place in the freezer for 15 minutes.

    3. While the Oreo balls are in the freezer, prep the strawberries by cutting off the tops and hollowing out the center, either with a melon baller or by carefully cutting with a knife. Then melt chocolate in a double boiler or microwave until smooth.

    4. Remove Oreo truffles from the freezer and stuff each strawberry with one. Dip the tops of each strawberry in the melted chocolate, and garnish with crushed Oreos.

    5. Place in the refrigerator until chocolate is set, and serve.

    Notes

The bigger the strawberries, the better, because they'll be easier to stuff.
