30 Times Disney Ripped Out Your Beating Heart and Stomped on It

If you weren't white-knuckling the edge of your seat through this scene then you have no soul, and if you say you didn't tear up even just a little bit when all the toys held hands then you are straight-up lying.

That moment when you think Cinderella has finally caught a break (with the help of her amazing animal friends), only to have the small shred of hope stolen from her by her terrible sisters. And her evil stepmother just watches the whole thing go down.

But he makes her remember! So he can't leave! PLEASE STOP.

Oh, you know, it's just that moment when a mere movie encapsulates everything a person feels as they lose their innocence and make the rough transition from childhood bliss to the reality of adulthood. NO BIG DEAL.

For once, Disney makes you cry happy tears when Rapunzel is reunited with her long-lost family, and her mom's all, like, "Bring it in, buddy," to Flynn Rider.

Ray, the firefly, believes that the Evening Star is really another firefly named Evangeline. So after the witch doctor Facilier steps on and fatally injures Ray, Tiana and Naveen send him off to go meet his love in the sky.

Want to make something really sad 100 times sadder? Cool. Just add a f*cking Sarah McLachlan song to the mix, and you're good to go.

And then they let us think he was dead for WAY too long. Luckily it was just a broken leg, but damn, Disney is ice cold sometimes.

WALL-E is an emotional roller coaster of a movie that covers heavy themes such as consumerism, waste, environmental devastation, and the future of the human race. On top of all of this, there's a robot love story that breaks your heart into tiny pieces — especially when EVE has to make WALL-E forget his love for her in order to save his life.

Russell's father misses his own son's Senior Explorer ceremony, but Carl saves the day when he shows up to give him the Ellie badge, aka the grape soda cap that Ellie gave to Carl when they first met. It's all just too much.

He works for that bread . . . but he's willing to share it with those who need it more, even though they are all hungry. WHY IS LIFE SO HARD?!

When for a second, you're all, like, "Oh damn, Mulan is about to get her ass handed to her," and then the emperor basically tells her she saved the entire country, and then you're a crying puddle of joyful tears as everyone bows to her. That's this scene in a nutshell.

Showing your daughter you love her by giving her one true desire to her along with your blessings? Yep, that'll do it.

This poor little guy is taken from his mom, forced to work a terrible circus job, and then is finally (briefly) reunited with his mother. When she reaches through the bars to cradle Dumbo's head during the song "Baby Mine," it really makes you wonder why Disney hates you and wants you to cry so much all of the time.

And Anna sings a reprise of "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" that is literally the most heartbreaking thing you will ever hear in your life.

Kerchak never truly accepted the orphaned Tarzan as one of his own. But in his last moments, he apologizes to his foster child for not treating like part of the family, telling Tarzan, "Our family will look to you now. Take care of them my son. Take care of them."

It actually physically hurts to see his face as Widow Tweed drives away. This whole movie is too much, though.

Her final words before she passes on: "People do crazy things . . . when they're in love." (Luckily, things do actually turn out OK for these two in the end . . . but STILL.)

We're pretty sure that every single person's childhood was in some way affected by the moment when we realized that Mufasa was indeed not getting up. It's still not OK. It will never be OK.
