It's almost impossible to scroll through text message conversations without seeing emoji. The colorful decals help bring conversations to life, and more than a billion of them are sent among young girls daily. And while emoji are used to express feelings and emotions or to simply tell a story, do they truly represent the girls who use them to express themselves?

In the latest installment of the #LikeAGirl campaign, Always decided to ask a group of girls if the emoji they use daily truly reflect who they are. Their responses left us with one troublesome question: are girls being limited by society, even down to the smileys used in a conversation?

The harsh reality is that in a selection of over 1,000 characters, women are only showcased painting their nails, dancing, or being a bride. And while many can identify with those things, the girls in the videos think otherwise, and we couldn't agree with them more.

While a diverse range of characters were added to show off people of all skin tones, this video proves that there are still strides left to take in empowering all girls of all backgrounds and personalities to be unstoppable. Keep on watching to hear them weigh in, and join #LikeAGirl to help continue breaking down barriers — one emoji at a time.
