Your Heart Will Explode When You Meet the Preemie From the "Buns in the Oven" Pregnancy Annoucement

Before little Kaleb Arkell Graves captured our hearts, we fell in love with his parents.

We first met Dana Griffin-Graves and her husband, Arkell Graves, when they shared a heartwarming video of Arkell learning that he was about to become a dad. After 17 years of trying, four miscarriages, and a stillborn birth, it's no wonder why the video of his precious reaction to his wife's "buns in the oven" announcement went viral.

A few weeks later, Griffin-Graves went into labor at just six months after doctors said her blood pressure was dangerously high and could kill her. Kaleb was born 17 weeks early and weighed just 13 ounces.

Now at 1 month old, the beautiful baby boy weighs 1 pound 5 ounces, and his proud mother says that he is doing fantastic. "If someone would have told me six weeks ago when I was laying in the hospital bed and I was in the ICU department, that I would be here today, I wouldn't believe it," Griffin-Graves said.

Although "Baby Bun" was originally due in February and Griffin-Graves had to have a C-section after being admitted to the intensive care unit, both mom and baby are thriving. "I'm very humbled to the fact that so many people are praying for us and the prayers are actually working. We can actually feel them. They're amazing," Arkell said.

Kaleb is still growing stronger in the hospital, and his dedicated parents split their days — Dad spends the mornings with him, while Mom reads to him for hours every afternoon. They realize that they still have a long road ahead but are encouraged by the thousands of prayers from their Facebook followers.

"It's just amazing to know that we have so many people in our corner, so many people that have gone through the same thing and it's just because of God's grace," Griffin-Graves said.
