While the first day of school can certainly be a bit emotional for some kids — and their parents — there are others, like Adrianna, who are ready to dive head first into the new school year.

Adrianna is 6 years old, and on her first day as a kindergartner, she woke up bright-eyed and excited — she strapped a GoPro to her chest, grabbed her lunchbox, and was out the door. Her father, Derek Duncan, is a digital communications specialist at his daughter's school district, and he wanted to do something to document Adrianna's first day of school so that parents can see this rare perspective.
