How 1 Mom Gave Birth to 3 Sets of Twins in 2 Years

Without the help of fertility treatments, Danesha Couch miraculously got pregnant with twins three different times — all within 26 months.

This busy mom welcomed her most recent additions and third set of twins, Dalanie and Darla, last month, and they left the hospital after a three-week stay in the neonatal intensive care unit. "People just consider me a freak of nature when I tell them," Danesha told Fox News.

The little girls join 1-year-olds Delilah and Davina as well as 2-year-old Danarius. Danarius's twin brother, Desmond, died from complications shortly after their premature birth. When she became pregnant with twins a second time, Danesha was shocked, and according to a report from Britain, she had a one in 88,000 chance of getting pregnant with twins for a third time.

Dalanie and Darla are Danesha's second set of twins with fiancé Jeffrey Pressler, and the couple plan on waiting at least 10 years before considering trying for a fourth set of little ones. According to Dr. Elizabeth Wickstrom of Shawnee Mission Medical Center, the fact that Danesha has had fraternal twins before increased her chances of doing it again. She also noted that women of African descent are more likely to have multiple multiples.

Danesha definitely has her hands full with five little ones under 3 years old. "Three babies walking within a couple of months," Danesha described. "My regrets would be timing, but I'm really happy that I can even create babies or have life because some women can't do that."
