New Parents Walk Out of St Mary's Hospital to a Crowd of Reporters Expecting Kate Middleton

The birth of a baby is an exciting time for everyone involved, especially the new parents who are on the receiving end of so much love and support from family and friends. However, a British couple who delivered their baby at the Lindo Wing at St Mary's hospital is getting more love than they bargained for when they left the hospital with their newborn in tow, as bands of reporters and strangers were waiting outside the wing for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to show off newborn royal baby number three — but got this family instead.

While the hilarious and adorable mishap has us screaming "We wasted the good surprise on you!" à la Big Daddy, it seems as though the crowd took the false alarm extremely well. Reporters on the scene live-tweeted, sharing that people clapped and cheered for the new parents as they posed for pictures.

Congratulations to the new parents, who had their baby at the exact perfect time to get the most amazing group of strangers to hype them up about parenthood before heading home.
