This Student May Die Without Obamacare

Joan Fanwick suffers from Sjogren's syndrome, a chronic autoimmune disorder with no cause or cure. The 21-year-old Temple University student holds down two part-time jobs in order to qualify for Obamacare (aka the Affordable Care Act).

On Jan. 4, the Senate voted 51-48 to approve a budget resolution, taking the first step toward repealing the ACA. If they succeed, 18 million people will lose or forfeit health insurance in the first year alone — including Joan.
