Watch Bernie Sanders Call Trump the Last Thing in the World He Wants to Hear

During an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper on Sunday, Senator Bernie Sanders was honest about his feelings toward President Donald Trump. "I don't mean to be disrespectful," Sanders said. "This guy is a fraud."

Sanders was specifically referring to how Trump has staffed his cabinet with "more billionaires in a cabinet" than "in American history," despite running as an anti-establishment candidate. Throughout his campaign, Trump repeatedly vilified Wall Street banks and pledged to dismantle their influence in Washington (much like Sanders did).

Sanders was quick to criticize Trump's hypocrisy. "This guy ran for president of the United States saying, 'I, Donald Trump, I'm going to take on Wall Street. These guys are getting away with murder,'" Sanders said. "Then suddenly, he appoints all these billionaires."

Since his election, Trump has nominated a former Goldman Sachs partner and former OneWest Bank CEO Steve Mnuchin to be his secretary of the treasury; the wife of Amway's heir, Betsy DeVos, to be his secretary of education; a coal mine executive, Wilbur Ross, to be his secretary of commerce; and Linda McMahon, the former CEO of the Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment, to lead his small business administration. And that's only a handful of the billionaires who have roles in Trump's administration.

Later in the interview, Sanders also predicted that Trump will ultimately betray his base in favor of higher bottom lines. "He is a good showman, I will give you that, he is a good TV guy," Sanders said. "But I think he is going to sell out the middle class and the working class of this country."

Given that Trump has also started dismantling the Dodd-Frank Act that tightly regulates banks, it seems Wall Street is already a primary influence on the Trump administration.
