Tom Holland and Chris Pratt Go on a Magical Adventure in the Trailer For Pixar's Onward

Disney and Pixar are tackling the world of magical creatures in the upcoming animated feature Onward, but if you were expecting elegant unicorns and majestic dragons soaring over lush green lands, you'll be in for a shock. The new trailer takes us into a more up-to-date magical world, where garden gnomes are gardening gnomes, mermaids chill out in inflatable pools, and wizards are all but forgotten.

Fortunately the story gets a giant dose of magic when brothers Ian (Tom Holland) and Barley (Chris Pratt) inherit a mystical staff from their late father and attempt to use a visitation spell to bring him back for 24 hours. Unfortunately, the spell doesn't go as planned, and they only manage to bring back their father . . . 's legs. Yes, just his legs. From there the teenage elf brothers go on a heartwarming journey to figure out how to fix the spell and meet their whole dad before time runs out.

Judging by the trailer, it seems like Onward will be less of a fairy tale and more of an '80s buddy movie pastiche, which we're totally down for. Watch the trailer for yourself for a look at this fun magical world above before the movie hits theaters on March 6, 2020!
