The 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards had barely begun before Demi Lovato stole the show with a new mullet haircut. Dressed in a purple pantsuit and matching manicure with smoky eye makeup and sharp brows, the edgy new hairstyle complemented the singer's look perfectly.
After rocking a pixie cut for the last six-plus months, the retro style, which is shorter in the front and slightly longer in the back, feels just right for the award show and beyond. The mullet, or "chillet," as celebrity hairstylist Riawna Capri dubbed it, is an updated version of the classic trend.
We're not sure if they meant to or not, but Lovato just provided a perfect example of how to grow out a pixie in the coolest way possible.
