Penn Badgley may not have many spoken lines on Netflix's You (it's all in the narration!), but he knows what's up when it comes to making the most of his screen time with one key acting skill: his facial expressions. In an instant, Badgley is able to switch around his expressions to mask or unmask Joe's thoughts with a level of precision that makes his character even more unsettling. Does anyone else remember the time he totally flipped out on Beck during season one for locking him in his own glass cage? Yeah, that was not a pretty sight.

During an interview on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Badgley admitted that the unique acting skill comes to him naturally. "It is shockingly simple," Badgley admitted. "It does not mean it's easy — although, sometimes it is."
