Taylor Swift's Country Duet With Sugarland Will Remind You SO Much of Her Red Album

Is it just us, or has Taylor Swift been taking a long walk down memory lane recently? After putting a country spin on Earth, Wind & Fire's classic hit "September," the singer went back to her roots yet again with Sugarland's new song, "Babe." Not only does she provide background vocals for the breakup track, but she also wrote it! Interestingly enough, the song, which she cowrote with Train's Patrick Monahan, was originally going to be featured on her Red album. No wonder it reminds us so much of songs like "Treacherous" and "The Last Time."

So, does that mean the inspiration behind the song is one of Swift's exes? Maybe. "[It] just might be!" lead singer Jennifer Nettles told ET during the ACMs. "But you didn't hear that here. We don't know. We didn't ask her, but I'm just saying in the context of the story." Either way, we simply can't get enough of the latest track. Here's hoping Swift will sing more country songs during her upcoming Reputation tour.
