Valerie Macaulay is the cofounder of La Ligne, an on-the-rise fashion label that should be on your radar. So for her woodsy wedding in Deering, NH, the creative consultant and former editor customized her bridal look. No, it wasn't the only outfit she wore during the three-day event, which included a family gathering, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception, but it was absolutely the one we'll remember.
While Valerie styled an eyelet Oscar de la Renta midi with Gucci mules, tapping into her ethereal side, and opted for trendy-with-a-twist in a Jonathan Simkhai top and tiered Erdem skirt, her La Ligne party outfit reigned supreme, thanks to the flow it provided on the dance floor. In fact, the asymmetrical cross-back top is now shoppable on the site. Read on to get a good look at the four different ensembles Valerie chose for her outdoor wedding, and scoop up the pieces she created for her special day.
Valerie was a fit model for designer Thakoon Panichgul years ago, so she tapped him to design her gown.
"I never felt lighter or more beautiful in my life," she told Vogue.
"It was a fairly easy collaborative process since the two custom pieces came from existing pieces from the Fall collection," she said of the design.
It's a versatile piece available in two shades of blue, and the pants are based off the Chez Toi silhouette, which comes in luxe velvet.
