We are already completely obsessed with Chrissy Teigen and John Legend as a couple, but I'm particularly a big fan of Chrissy's, because she's a serious cook with a cookbook on the way. Fearless in the kitchen, the Sports Illustrated model constantly shares photos and videos of homemade meals on her Instagram account — and never without a dash of wit. If you're a foodie, you really need to follow her on Instagram and check out her blog So Delushious, a place for "personal random ramblings from a girl who loves bacon and can't be fat." These are 42 times we wanted the self-proclaimed #soupmaster to cook for us.
The "rando sh*t" consists of asparagus, tomatoes, corn, and prosciutto.
"The difference between good tom yum and great tom yum — I love frying the shells in a bit of oil, then pouring in chicken or vegetable broth to simmer, then strain and chuck the shells! Flavor country."
Her mom is Thai, and she and Chrissy are always whipping up authentic Thai recipes. Here, she says they are the "LAMB MASTERS."
. . . Like this mango avocado salsa, which is made with: "mango, avocado, cilantro, salt and pepper, olive oil and lemon (only because I don't have limes dammit)."
And lucky for us, she has shared this very guac recipe.
Take a look at this Cajun catfish with avocado and a fried egg.
For instance, this is cauliflower mash! "Mashed potato trickery," she says. Here's how Chrissy makes it: "Boil/strain or steam cauliflower. Add to food processor with a hunk of butter and salt and pepper (a bit of cream cheese or garlic if you're feeling dangerous) and whip to fluffiness."
Like this prosciutto-wrapped chicken with pesto.
This spicy sesame noodles with chicken is one of Chrissy's favorite recipes ever, and she says it's a "mother f*ckin' crowd pleaser."
Orecchiette pasta, ham steaks, broccoli, garlic, and pecorino.
Toast, mashed avocado, prosciutto, red onion, and tomato.
Like the time she got a bunch of Cup Noodles from a grocery store after the Met Gala. She said, "I do not recall this." We have all been there, girl.
She said, "hesitant to finish this KFC because I'm gonna be so sad when it's gone."
"I gotta say, it's better with a cracker."
