Give peanut butter blossoms (aka peanut butter cookies with a chocolate Kiss on top) a Halloween spin with this simple how-to! It's cute and quick and will please the taste buds of kids and adults alike.
Our favorite is this four-ingredient peanut butter cookie recipe from Southern Living. It's dairy- and gluten-free!
Allow the baked cookies to cool until they are slightly warm, then carefully press peanut butter cups or chocolate discs into the center of each cookie.
Next, you'll need a few items to create the legs and eyeballs of the spiders:
Start with the legs. Dip the wooden skewer or toothpick into the melted chocolate. Carefully paint on three legs on each side of the spider's "body." Once all of the cookies are done, transfer them to a freezer for 15 minutes to let the chocolate set. If you try to paint on the eyeballs while the chocolate is still wet, the eyeballs will just melt off!
Remove the cookies from the freezer and carefully squeeze out two dots of white icing on the top of the spider's body, toward the edge. Use a pair of tweezers to place the colored sprinkle eyes in the center of each white dot.
Enjoy immediately!
