Teyana Taylor Stashed an Entire Chick-fil-A Meal in Her Met Gala Purse

The Met Gala was a BYOCFA (Bring Your Own Chick-fil-A) affair for Teyana Taylor. The singer snuck an entire meal from the fast-food chain into the fashion soiree on May 1, and we've never related to a celebrity more. After walking — nay, hopping — up the Metropolitan Museum of Art steps in a skintight tweed Thom Browne dress, Taylor sat down inside and plated her dinner on gilded floral china, presumably unloading each item from the large black purse she carried down the cream carpet.

Rapper Pusha T teased Taylor and exposed her feast on social media as she chowed down on chicken nuggets and waffles fries with a vintage-looking fork. "@teyanataylor is embarrassing me. She brought @chicfilausa to the #MetGala . I want her away from me," he joked on Instagram Stories. He also posted footage of Usher approaching their table and laughing upon realizing what Taylor was snacking on. (And for any Chick-fil-A dipping sauce aficionados out there, it looks like Taylor's choice is the restaurant's sweet and sour Polynesian sauce.)

Taylor's Chick-fil-A spread was quite the opposite vibe of this year's Met Gala menu, which included "chilled spring pea soup with baby vegetables, lemon crème fraîche, and truffle snow" and salmon served with asparagus, radish, and pickled strawberries, Vogue reports. The dishes paid homage to Karl Lagerfeld's favorite foods, as the late fashion designer was central to the 2023 Met Gala theme. Honestly, we can hardly blame Taylor for going the BYOCFA route — those waffle fries reign supreme.
