We're used to seeing Pinterest-worthy snaps of the Gaines's Waco, Texas, farmhouse. Today, the idyllic property is filled with whitewashed walls, subway tiles, and Joanna's signature shiplap. But that wasn't always the case. In 2012, when the Gaines bought the 1895 farmhouse, the property was as (or more) ramshackle than those they tackle on Fixer Upper.
