We want Wende Zomnir's life: she spends her days surfing on the beach in California, being a mom to her sons, and creating the empire that is Urban Decay Cosmetics. "I like doing it from my desk after my boys go to bed, so that I don't miss any time with them during the holiday season. And I can do it when I travel. It's fun for me to give gifts of beauty because I'm always being asked my opinion on makeup, skin care and hair care — a beauty gift is the three-dimensional expression of all my advice!"

Wende also has a theory on present presentation. "Unless you love wrapping, I believe in spending the extra money for gift wrap and direct shipping if you are giving to an out-of-town friend or family member. Save the time and spend it with your people! And speaking of spending time with people, my resolution is to look around, look my gift recipient in the eye, and never glance down at my phone while we enjoy the festivities together, in person, in the real world."

This set is for a good friend, niece, or sister-in-law who likes that cool-girl-undone-hair. It has tourmaline and ceramic barrels, so it doesn't fry your hair and holds the curl really well. "I've given these earrings as a gift before. Diamonds and gold are always a hit! It's a super beautiful luxury item that's affordable, but still feels very fancy.
