Her Beauty Regimen Has Changed Since Transitioning
In a WhoSay video on her website, Caitlyn explained that she always did her own makeup until she started filming for I Am Cait. She primarily uses MAC Cosmetics these days because she loves the coverage of the brand's formulas. She also revealed that she had her beard lasered off in the 1980s, which she believes caused a loss of collagen volume in the lower half of her face.
She's Mastered the Art of the Selfie
Caitlyn was one of the nominees for the title of Social Media Queen from the Teen Choice Awards, so she had to post a selfie to make it official. Perfect blowout, glossy lips, and a coy smile . . . Kim Kardashian would be proud.
She Uses Some of the Swankiest Beauty Tools in the Business
Though Caitlyn is still experimenting with her look, she seems to be partial to sexy waves, which she creates with the celebrated Sarah Potempa BeachWaver Pro ($199). As for her flawlessly applied makeup, she uses Artis Fluenta brushes ($400), a luxurious line of tools that blend beautifully and feel like velvet on the skin.
She Is Accepted by Her Family
In the opening scene of her new E! show, I Am Cait, her family (specifically mother, sister, daughter Kylie Jenner, stepdaughter Kim Kardashian, and son-in-law Kanye West) meet Caitlyn for the first time after she fully transitioned.
"Hey pretty!" Kylie exclaims. Then, Caitlyn tries on green hair extensions from her youngest daughter's beauty line.
Kim points out that Caitlyn looks like Kendall and has her mouth.
Caitlyn said that while she has not had much of a relationship with Kanye in the past, she appreciates his openness. Kanye said on camera that Caitlyn's transition is "one of the strongest things that have happened in our existence as human beings that are controlled by perception." Watch the full episode here.
She's No Stranger to Glam Squads

She Finds the Pressure of Looking Beautiful Exhausting
Though Caitlyn has made it clear she's enjoying the learning process behind getting glam, she admitted the challenges of it during her moving acceptance speech at the ESPYs. "I've never felt more pressured than I ever have in my life, than the last couple of months," she declared. "Picking out this outfit — OK, girls, I get it! You got to get the shoes, the hair, the makeup, the whole process. It was exhausting."
She Went Old Hollywood For the Vanity Fair Cover
Caitlyn Jenner revealed her new self to the world via this famous Vanity Fair cover, photographed by Annie Leibovitz and styled by Jessica Diehl. The written story by Buzz Bissinger explored her transition and new life as a lady. Many have compared her style on the cover to Cindy Crawford, Marilyn Monroe, and Jessica Lange.
She Has Amazing Hair
Along with showing off chiseled cheekbones (maybe she learned a thing or two from her daughters), Caitlyn flaunted a thick, luxurious mane, styled by Oribe himself. We wonder if it's all her hair or if she uses Kylie's line of extensions . . .
She Loves Getting Her Makeup Done
In a preview for I Am Cait, Caitlyn revealed that when she got her makeup done professionally for the first time, she was bowled over. "What a difference!" she declared.
She Likes Girlie Nail Polish
Though Caitlyn has years of experience painting her own nails, celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippmann was the one to pamper Caitlyn for her Vanity Fair shoot. "The color red was a statement throughout, and Lady Is a Tramp ($18) was it! And of course Caitlyn laughed when I told her the name of the shade," Deborah told Vanity Fair.
Later, she was spotted wearing hot pink while out and about (pictured) and during the first episode of her E! show, I Am Cait.
She Could Be Up For Big Beauty Deals
Just like the other women in the Kardashian-Jenner family, Caitlyn will be a prime candidate for big fashion and beauty contracts in the future. Ever since her Vanity Fair debut, there have been whispers that MAC is attempting to sign the star. However, those rumors were put to an end when the brand released the following statement:
“MAC is a brand that embraces all ages, all races and all sexes and is a longstanding supporter of the LGBT community. We are inspired by Caitlyn Jenner and her personal journey and we admire her courage and beauty. We have not signed Caitlyn as a spokesperson for MAC."
Her Surgeries Took 10 Hours
In an exclusive interview with E!, Caitlyn's surgeons Dr. Harrison Lee and Dr. Gary Alter (who worked on her face and body, respectively) explained the procedures they performed. The duo revealed the surgeries took double the amount of time as expected. The Olympian had the first panic attack of her life postsurgery, which the doctors said is completely normal.
Caitlyn Loves Her New Look
Caitlyn is clearly happy with the results of her plastic surgery, as she gave Dr. Lee a signed copy of her historic Vanity Fair issue.
She Tries Beauty Trends
Deborah was the manicurist who painted Caitlyn's nails for her big Vanity Fair cover, and the Olympian seems faithful to her line of polishes. In this brief WhoSay video, Caitlyn dabs Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish in Blue Orchid ($18) onto her nails and asks viewers what they think of the hue.
She's Confident in Her Style
Her Beauty Look Is Inspired by Cindy Crawford
Caitlyn's makeup artist revealed the secret behind her effortless and elegant looks are thanks to a little inspiration from this '90s supermodel.
