The double wing trend, as featured in MAC Cosmetics's 2021 spring and summer trend report, is exactly what it sounds like: two winged eyeliner designs coexisting on your eyelid simultaneously. "The double winged liner trend has become increasingly popular due to the sheer fact eyes have been front and center these days," Keri Blair, senior national artist at MAC, told POPSUGAR. "Creating a double wing at the edge of the eye is such an incredible statement for self-expression."

Because this is a makeup trend that you can make completely your own, any eyeliner that you have on hand will do — gel, liquid, pencil, liquid, or even eyeshadow. "A great application tip is to use the pen to create small dots that come out and up from the lower lash line on both eyes to ensure your symmetry before drawing your lines," said Blair.
