Kat Von D's 10-Year Anniversary Collection Is Gold, Glittery, and, Uh, Slightly Gory

Kat Von D's 10-year anniversary is coming (feel old yet?) and, honestly, we'd be slightly surprised if the always-edgy brand's Instagram announcement of the occasion were anything other than golden glitter porn. The brand founder herself took to her account to share a sneak peek of her celebratory makeup collection, which seems to be inspired by The Outsiders' classic line, "Stay gold" — but with an NSFW twist.

No tangible products are teased in this launch, but we do get a chance to see some of Kat's "10 modern-day muses," who front the campaign. As Kat wrote in her caption, "These 10 muses have blessed me with so much inspiration, not just for their surface beauty but with what they can contribute to the world through their art."

In the video snippet, which will be released in its entirety in May (along with the full collection), the campaign stars can be seen coated in head-to-toe gold and glitter — and not much else, TBH. There's a slight element of horror-chic to this lineup: the first shot shows gold lava spilling out of a model's mouth like blood. (Yum!).

Since Kat's known for her vibrant, bold hues, it shouldn't come as a huge surprise that she would celebrate a decade in the beauty biz via such a decadent color palette. In our opinion, this video is the best thing to happen to gold since cool teen supreme Chloe Kim won it at the Olympics.

Unfortunately, unless Kat chooses to bless us with another sneak peek, you'll have to wait until May to see what she's really got cooking. Watch this space for more updates — in between watching this video over and over again.
