The Meaning Behind Ashley Tisdale's New "Maui" Tattoo

Ashley Tisdale and her husband, Christopher French, just got new tattoos to commemorate the passing of their beloved dog, Maui. The inks were tattooed by Dragon of Bang Bang tattoo parlor, who posted the art on Instagram alongside Tisdale's own post. The actress got the word "Maui" on her arm in red ink, while French got a paw print in honor of the dog.

The pain of losing a pet can be excruciating, and the tattoos serve as a beautiful reminder of how much happiness Maui brought to the world. Ahead, see Tisdale and French's new tattoos, as well as some shots of the adorable pup.
