Fashion and beauty take cues from each other all the time. That's why it comes as no surprise that one of the coolest nail-art trends for spring is inspired by Italian fashion designer Emilio Pucci. The "Pucci" manicure marries bold colors and abstract patterns for a look that is reminiscent of the designer's colorful, geometric prints.

"Pucci is my favorite designer," celebrity manicurist Elle Gerstein told POPSUGAR of the look she created for Orly. "I love the geometric design and color use in the patterns. This is a bold and gorgeous statement to make on nails. Also, no two are alike, which makes the creations unique."

Just like Pucci's designs, this nail-art trend comes in a kaleidoscope of colors. The key to executing it is layering complementary colors on top of each other in various squiggly lines. You can use the Orly Striper Brush ($10) to create the shapes. Just make sure each nail-polish shade dries before you go to apply the next one. You don't have to be precise for it to look cool, making it great to DIY.
