From new hair colors to buzzy products on the rise (like eye gloss), the social media platform has been tracking its 250-plus million users on their searching and pinning habits to predict exactly what users are interested in. All of the trends ahead have an average of a million searches or more, so you can be sure they're accurate.

Searches for "lilac hair" were up 1077 percent this year, meaning you'll see a ton of the hue heading into the new year.

2019 will be the year of minimal makeup paired with bold lips. Searches for the term "standout lip color" were up 467 percent on the platform.
Always wanted to try out bangs? Make 2019 your year with the mini variety. Searches for cropped bangs were up 51 percent.
Update your basic manicure with a modern shape like the almond nail, which was up 97 percent on Pinterest.
Celebrities like Kylie Jenner have been wearing gray hair all year, and many people are looking to let their natural gray shine. Searches for "going gray" were up a full 879 percent.
