While we're all eagerly awaiting the birth of the newest royal baby and guessing what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will name their first child, there's another royal baby milestone coming up! On April 23, Prince Louis of Cambridge turns one year old, and the youngest son of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge is growing up fast. Although he hasn't been photographed nearly as much as his scene-stealing older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the youngest prince is apparently hitting baby milestones and living his best life. William and Kate don't tend to say much in public about their children, trying to give them a seminormal and private childhood, but they've made a few comments. Ahead, we've rounded up a few of the things they've revealed about Prince Louis — along with some very cute pictures!

He Started Crawling Pretty Fast

Back in January 2019, Kate revealed to a well-wisher that Prince Louis had started crawling! Hello! reported the brief exchange, as the duchess shared the news with a woman in the crowd.

The duchess said that her younger son, who was about 9 months old at the time, "is already a really fast crawler." He's apparently continued to pick up some speed, but we're sure his older siblings are able to keep up with him!

His Dad Joked About His Teething

When Prince William attended a January event for London's Air Ambulance Charity, well-wishers offered him gifts and cards for his family. One fan gave him a squeezy helicopter toy (a reference to the prince's career as a military and rescue helicopter pilot), and William was delighted by it, reported Hello!. He then took the opportunity to make a joke about Prince Louis's latest milestone: teething.

"Amazing, that will go down extremely well," he said of the toy. "Louis will be chewing that before long!"

Prince William had a public engagement only a few days after Prince Louis's birth, but he was able to report that the youngest prince was surprisingly low-key already. According to Us, William told the media that Louis, only a few days old, was sleeping pretty well.

"Sleeping's going reasonably well so far, so he's behaving himself, which is good," he noted, adding that his infant son was "in good form, luckily."

He's Walking Now

In March 2019, the Duchess of Cambridge visited the Henry Fawcett Children's Centre and spoke with some of the other mothers there. She revealed to one of them that Prince Louis is getting mobile!

"Louis just wants to pull himself up all the time. He has got these little walkers and is bombing around in them," the duchess reportedly said. Louis is apparently in the "cruising" stage and is learning to pull himself up and using furniture to support himself as he moves around — meaning that Kate, like moms everywhere, is spending a lot of time chasing after a newly mobile and curious kid!
