Let's All Remain Calm: Rihanna Is Releasing Her New Album in 2019

It's been nearly three years since Rihanna has blessed the world with a new album, but it looks like we can expect brand-new music from the singer sooner than we think. On Saturday afternoon, Rihanna took to Instagram to share a promotional image for Fenty Beauty when she seemingly confirmed her plans to release a new album next year. In response to a fan's comment asking for an album release date, the "Work" singer's response was simple: "2019." She didn't specify exactly when the album is set to drop, but the response alone was enough to send the internet into a frenzy.

To say that 2018 has been a busy year for Rihanna would be an understatement. The singer appeared in Ocean's 8 earlier this year before launching her Savage x Fenty lingerie collection in September at New York Fashion Week. She's also set to star opposite Donald Glover in the new film Guava Island. Rihanna's new project next year will be her first album since the release of ANTI in 2016.
