In a video of his exchange, Adam visits the home of Hayley Grace Williams, who's studying to become a nurse. Her father and "everyday hero," John Williams, is an army veteran who was severely injured during a training exercise before Operation Desert Storm. His injury has taken both a physical and emotional toll, as he's unable to work full time and struggles with the guilt of seeing his unit shipped off to war while he was in a hospital room.
