Bobbi Kristina Brown's Cause of Death Has Finally Been Revealed

Bobbi Kristina Brown would have turned 23 years old today, but the life of the only child of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was cut short when she tragically passed away on July 26, 2015, under mysterious circumstances. Thanks to unsealed medical records, her cause of death has finally been uncovered: lobar pneumonia, caused by hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy and water immersion combined with mixed drug intoxication, or in simpler terms, a mix of drugs and drowning. Bobbi was found face down in a bathtub in her home in January 2015, which led to her being placed in a coma for seven months until she was pronounced dead in July.

The drugs found in the late reality TV personality's body by the Fulton County medical examiner included "marijuana, alcohol, benzoylecgonine (a cocaine-related substance), benzodiazepines (medications used for sedation or to treat anxiety), and morphine." It was also noted that "it could not be determined from toxicology tests whether the morphine resulted from heroin use." Although this news will hopefully give her friends and family some closure, the medical examiner was unable to determine if her death was intentional or not, and so her cause of death will remain categorized as "undetermined."
