Bobbi Kristina Brown Has Passed Away

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, died at the age of 22 on Sunday. Her family confirmed the news in a statement released to the press. "Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family," said the Houston family in the statement. "She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."

Bobbi was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Roswell, GA, home on Jan. 31. She was reportedly placed in a medically induced coma at North Fulton Hospital in Roswell and later put on life support at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. About two months after the incident, she was moved to a rehabilitation facility in Atlanta.

In April, Bobbi's grandmother Cissy Houston clarified her condition in a statement to Us Weekly. "I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive," Cissy said. "Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me. We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time. Keep us in your prayers."

According to her aunt Pat Houston, Bobbi was transferred to a hospice in June. "Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition has continued to deteriorate," she said in a statement. "As of today, she has been moved into hospice care. We thank everyone for their support and prayers. She is in God's hands now."

Bobbi's near-drowning came about three years after her mom Whitney's death. The late singer was found unconscious in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills on Feb. 11, 2012.
