Dwyane Wade has very specific criteria when it comes to choosing the perfect vacation. As Gabrielle Union explained during a June 13 appearance on "Live With Kelly and Mark," her husband tends to select the destination for their trips — their upcoming anniversary celebration included — based on whether or not he can be shirtless. "D keeps the shirt off, so I think he chooses places he can feel the most comfortable," she said of Wade. Think: tropical getaways with sunny skies and sandy beaches.

While Union still doesn't know exactly where they'll be spending their ninth wedding anniversary in August — "You should absolutely ask Dwyane, because I'm also the spouse who doesn't read full emails," she joked — the two make a point to celebrate their major milestones and everything in between. "We'll celebrate a Wednesday just because," she said. "So [for] our anniversary, we usually go on a big trip with all of our other couple friends who are married around the same time, and we have ourselves a very good time in and around the globe."

With almost nine years of marriage under their belts, Union said she's leaving the festivities up to Wade, trusting in his organization skills and decision making. "I just stopped asking questions because I know it's going to be amazing," she said. But there is one thing Union already knows for sure: "I don't need a coat." Their past vacations prove her point, with the couple previously seen traveling to Ghana and yachting in Spain.

Union and Wade tied the knot in August 2014 and welcomed their daughter Kaavia James four years later. Their blended family also includes Wade's four other children, Dahveon, Zaire, Zaya, and Xavier. In March, the two joined forces to cheer on Zaya as she made her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week, later posting tributes for her 16th birthday. "Supporting each other for life's big moments is key," Union captioned a family photo taken moments before Zaya's winter formal. "With loved ones by your side, no matter the challenge, we 10 toes down. Always."
