Justin Bieber Tearfully Talks About Supporting Billie Eilish: "She Can Count on Me"

If anyone knows about the pressures of growing up in the spotlight, it's Justin Bieber. In an interview with Apple Music radio station Beats 1, the 25-year-old singer spoke about the hardships of being a young megastar and why they've urged him to support 18-year-old Billie Eilish. "I definitely feel protective of her," he said. "It was hard for me being that young and being in the industry and not knowing where to turn." Justin also mentioned that one of the pitfalls of being in the public eye is how people can love you one day and then "just turn their back on you in a second."

The "Intentions" crooner then began to cry, saying he wants to be a source of support for Billie if she ever needs it. "I want her to know that she can count on me. . . . I just kind of let her do her thing, and if she ever needs me, I'm gonna be here for her. . . . I just want to protect her," Justin said. "I don't want her to lose it. I don't want her to go through anything I went through. I don't wish that upon anybody. So, yeah, if she ever needs me, I'm just a call away."

Billie seemed to have taken Justin's words to heart. After watching the Beats 1 clip, she shared it in an Instagram gallery that includes old photos of her room decorated with posters of Justin. "Stream Changes," she captioned the post, promoting Justin's new album that dropped on Feb. 14. Justin then commented, "Love you!!!"

Billie, who claimed five Grammys in January, has previously talked about her longtime obsession with Justin. Back in April, the two artists met for the first time at Coachella, where Billie, who had performed at the festival, freaked out over seeing Justin at Ariana Grande's headlining set. After she calmed down and collected herself, they shared a heartwarming hug. A few months later, Justin joined Billie for a catchy remix of her hit "Bad Guy." We have a feeling this is the start of a beautiful friendship. Watch Justin talk about Billie in the video above before the full interview drops on Feb. 15!
