Hulu's Only Murders in the Building is the latest murder-mystery comedy series to capture our attention. Starring Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin, the show follows a group of tenants in NYC who set out to uncover the truth behind the mysterious death of their neighbor Tim Kono. Julian Cihi plays said deceased neighbor, and you might recognize him from his previous roles in Mr. Robot, Gypsy, and The Outpost, as well as Off-Broadway's Romeo and Juliet. He Was Born and Raised in Tokyo
Julian moved to the US when he was 17 to attend Brown University, where he majored in theater arts and international relations. He then received a scholarship to NYU Tisch Grad Acting, where he further honed his theater training.

Not only can he flawlessly belt out the lyrics to "Wonderwall" by Oasis, but Julian actually grew up singing in choir. "I really liked singing and one day they needed someone for the part of Tony in West Side Story," he told Broadway World. "I got that part and that was the bug. That's what did it for me. And I was like: 'Oh, you can sing and act at the same time — that's awesome!' That made me want to pursue theatre further."
He's a Man of Many Talents
In addition to acting, singing, and modeling, Julian is also an audiobook narrator for Penguin Random House. Some of the books he's contributed to are The Emissary by Yoko Tawada and The Woman in the Dunes by Kobo Abe.
