The 10 Best Wedding Crashers in Movie History

Liv (Kate Hudson) and Emma (Anne Hathaway) are best of friends, until they decide to get married on the same day. Then they become the worst of enemies, spending weeks dyeing one another's hair and skin extreme colors in various sabotage attempts. The pranks culminate on the day of their weddings, both at the Plaza, when a final act of mischief goes awry and Emma literally crashes into Liz's ceremony, tackling her to the ground. While the two end up reuniting for a combined überwedding, the crash itself is pretty uncomfortable.

Hannah (Michelle Monaghan) and Tom (Patrick Dempsey) are just friends. Just two attractive folks who make each other laugh, know everything about one another, and prefer each other's company to any one else, but they could never be romantically entangled, right? Wrong! When Hannah gets engaged to another man, Tom secretly tries to woo her, attempting everything he can think of to prove that they're a match. Finally, he rides on horseback to her picturesque Scotland wedding, flies through the doors, and breaks up the ceremony.

Kate (Jennifer Aniston) and Nick (Jay Mohr) are not dating, but they start faking it as a ruse to earn Kate a promotion at work. Throughout the length of their "courtship," Nick falls for Kate, but she doesn't return his feelings until it's almost too late. Frantic, she shows up to a wedding that he is recording and proclaims her love. She may have made an awkward blip in the wedding video, but at least she got the guy.

The Sweetest Thing is a simple story of boy meets girl, girl stalks boy, and girl crashes his wedding in a hideous cotton-candy-colored outfit. In this case, Christina (Cameron Diaz) meets Peter in a bar and after a mild flirtation, she and her cohort (Christina Applegate) take a humorous road trip to his brother's wedding to see him. Only, it's not his brother's wedding — spoiler alert — it's his!

Elliot (Michael Showalter) is used to heartbreak. After all, The Baxter is the story of the nice guy whose girlfriends always seem to find a truer love than him. Though every girlfriend he's ever had has been wooed back by an ex, one can't help but feel bad when he's finally about to exchange vows and his bride's (Elizabeth Banks) long-lost high school love (Justin Theroux) busts in and steals her away! He does snag Michelle Williams at the end, so it's not all bad.

The wedding crashing scene in 3 Men and a Little Lady may be the most complex one we've come across. After Peter (Tom Selleck) realizes his feelings for Mary (Nancy Travis), he runs to the church to disrupt her wedding to a scheming Englishman. Despite his efforts, he is too late. But wait — it turns out the officiant was Jack (Ted Danson) in disguise the whole time! Thus, the wedding is null, and Mary is free to marry Peter instead. Crafty, those three men.

The ultimate wedding crashers, John (Owen Wilson) and Jeremy (Vince Vaughn) make a hobby out of hitting up strangers' nuptials for free fun, food, and ladies. There never has been, nor will there ever be, a crasher that lives up to their example. Except maybe Chazz Reinhold (Will Ferrell), of course.

Just as the courageous Fabious (James Franco) and beautiful Belladonna (Zooey Deschanel) are about to be wed, their ceremony is interrupted by Leezar (Justin Theroux, again!), the most evil wizard in all the land. Leezar then disappears with Belladonna, thus setting in motion Fabious's quest to find his princess.

In one of the most classic wedding crashing moments in cinematic history, Ben (Dustin Hoffman) shows up at his ex's majestic Pasadena wedding and screams her name at the top of his lungs from the balcony. This is after he sleeps with her seductress mother and stalks her as she flees back to school. Despite this, Elaine (Katherine Ross) yells back to him and they run off together, trapping her jilted fiancé and everyone else inside the church with a wooden cross. And they lived happily ever after . . . except probably not.

Improbable lookalikes Amanda and Alyssa (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) know Alyssa's dad (Steve Guttenberg) and Amanda's orphanage caregiver, Diane (Kirstie Alley), are meant for each other. But alas, the two are destined for heartbreak, as Alyssa's father is engaged to be wed to another woman! Luckily for everyone, Diane realizes her true feelings for Roger and busts into Roger's wedding at the last minute to save him from a life of unhappiness.
