A new look at Once Upon a Time in Hollywood pretty much sets up everything you'd expect from a Quentin Tarantino production: fight scenes, offbeat humor, and a whole lot of stars. In the official trailer, viewers are introduced to Rick Dalton, an actor who perhaps takes himself a little too seriously, and his affable stunt double Cliff Booth — portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, respectively.

Taking place in 1969, the film will also be backdropped by the Manson Family murders, with Margot Robbie portraying Sharon Tate. In case you're wondering how that real-life tragedy will intersect with Tarantino's fictional characters, the new footage reveals that Cliff's girlfriend will introduce him to cult leader Charles Manson, and Rick is seen living next door to Tate.

Elaborating on the premise at CinemaCon nearly a year ago, Tarantino said, "It takes place at the height of the counter-culture explosion, at the height of the hippie revolution, and at the height of a new Hollywood." He added, "During this Summer, we will, little by little, street by street, block by block, transform Los Angeles into the psychedelic era of Hollywood in 1969."

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is hitting theaters July 26. Watch the star-studded trailer above.
