Ava Michelle's character Jodi in Tall Girl isn't far off from her real-life experiences. While she is a proclaimed actress, model, singer/songwriter, dancer, and YouTuber, it hasn't always been easy for the taller-than-average artist to navigate her budding career — but especially as a dancer. Before her Tall Girl days, Michelle struggled with acceptance for her physical appearance while she began her career as a contestant on Lifetime's Dance Moms as a 5'10" dancer at 13 years old. But before she was kicked off the Elite Team for her height by Abby Lee Miller, Ava proved herself time and again that she could be tall and a kickass dancer, too.
