We only have a little while before The Walking Dead returns to our screens for season nine in October. Between the trailer and all the hints of what we'll be getting in the new season — like another time jump and a surprise character comeback — there's a lot happening with our favorite zombie killers. Tensions are rising, changes are coming, and we're waiting on our toes to see what goes down once the season premieres.

Luckily, AMC has given us a sneak peek at what the first episode of season nine will look like, and we've rounded up the photos for you to enjoy.
