Listen to Queen & Slim's Soundtrack in All Its Soulful Glory

Queen & Slim bursts at the seams with talent thanks to Get Out's Daniel Kaluuya and director Melina Matsoukas, a music video titan who's a frequent collaborator with Beyoncé and Rihanna. With Matsoukas at its helm, it only makes sense that the film has crisp visuals and, of course, an epic soundtrack. Queen & Slim follows a Bonnie-and-Clyde-type story of a black couple who go on the run after shooting a white police officer. The romantic thriller premise is matched with music that's both sweet and edgy.

Featuring artists such as Megan Thee Stallion and Vince Staples, the soulful soundtrack joins together tracks both classic and current. This vibe is especially embodied by Tiana Major9 and Earthgang's warm, emotive vocals on "Collide." We also hear Lauryn Hill's first solo song in five years. The album features a track called "Guarding the Gates," which layers Hill's voice over a dreamy harp sound and edgy guitar riffs. So sit back, relax, and listen to this soundtrack in all of its glory ahead!
