What I'm Listening to This Week: Queen & Slim, Qveen Herby, Khalid, and Cautious Clay

We all need a self-love anthem, and in this edition of What I'm Listening to This Week, I think I've found mine. I'm also loving the Queen & Slim soundtrack, and while I'm definitely obsessed with Khalid's new single, I can't decide if it makes me want to get up and dance or lie down and die. Here's what you should slam the play button on this week and why.

"Vitamins" by Qveen Herby

My 2020 self-care bop is here. Singer-rapper Qveen Herby's devastatingly catchy new song is currently at the top of my workout playlist, and my work playlist, and my shower playlist, and so on and so on. Take those vitamins!

"Up All Night" by Khalid

"We're only getting older by the day." There's nothing I love more than an up-tempo song about depression, anxiety, and insomnia!

"Erase (Live)" by Cautious Clay

Indie singer-songwriter Cautious Clay was recently named one of Vevo's Artists to Watch 2020, and may I just say, thank you. I love this live performance of "Erase," and can't wait to hear it at his show this weekend. After catching Clay's set at Outside Lands music festival this Summer, I'm ready for much more.

Queen & Slim: The Soundtrack

Queen & Slim: The Soundtrack

A Black Bonnie & Clyde-style love story and a new song by Lauryn Hill — 2019 sure has brought unexpected surprises. The incredible Queen & Slim soundtrack features R&B-soul grooves from Blood Orange, Vince Staples, and the aforementioned Hill, whose "Guarding the Gates" is her first single in five years.
