Joey King Is a Badass Action Hero in the Trailer For "The Princess"

Joey King is not your average princess in Hulu's latest action-fantasy flick. Starring as the titular character in "The Princess," King plays a strong-willed royal whose father tries to force her to wed the cruel sociopath to whom she's betrothed. But when she refuses to surrender to her fate, she's kidnapped and locked away in a tower in her father's castle. However, what happens next doesn't exactly follow your typical fairy tale.

Instead of King's character being a damsel in distress, she turns into a butt-whooping princess in the film's trailer, which debuted on June 2. Set to Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation," the minute-and-a-half clip proves that King is the wrong princess to mess with. With her vindictive suitor set on taking over her father's throne, she'll stop at nothing to free herself from her father's clutches and save the kingdom.
